The Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board published new terpene guidance in February 2026. It replaces every version that came before it, including the January 2025 email most suppliers are still working from.

What are the Nevada CCB requirements for cannabis products?
The CCB requires inhalable cannabis products to meet four things:
Ingredient safety: no synthetics, everything inhalation-safe
Terpene concentration at or below 10% of the final product

Selling unauthorized products or using unauthorized ingredients is treated as a Category III violation under CCB regulations. Penalties can include civil fees, license suspension, or license revocation.

Terpene testing and labeling in Nevada
Two requirements sit alongside the approval process.
Testing. Nevada labs run a defined terpene panel: alpha-bisabolol, alpha-humulene, alpha-pinene, beta-caryophyllene, beta-myrcene, beta-pinene, caryophyllene oxide, limonene, linalool, and terpinolene. Your COA should cover the full panel.
Labeling. Cultivation facilities have to list the terpenoid profiles of the top three terpenes, as determined by the testing facility, before cannabis is sold. Full requirements are in the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Regulations.
