Linalool occurs in over 200 species of plants, commonly in lavender, rose and citrus.

Linalool occurs in over 200 species of plants, commonly in lavender, rose and citrus. This terpene usually constitutes 5% or less of cannabis essential oil and has pleasant floral notes. Nevertheless, Linalool exhibits strong biological activity. Research studies showed that Linalool is one of the most powerful sedating terpene upon inhalation in mice.
